Arlington Water Damaged GameRoom Floor
This recreational center in Arlington suffered flooding from a broken pipe. The hardwood floor was used for basketball, dodgeball, and ballet classes. Our goal was to quickly restore the soaked planks to preloss condition to mitigate damage, demolition, and costs to the community. Our Applied Structural Drying expert set up a "tent" over the still damp flooring after we had extracted the standing water. This methodology reduces the amount of air to be treated and forces more rapid evaporation from the joints in the planks and the underlying concrete pad. This drying must be monitored to assure that the wood does not splinter from over-zealous heating and drying. The Before Photo shows the flex tubes channeling the moisture ladened air from under the plastic sheeting to the exterior of the building. We proudly serve our local communities.
