Fort Caroline Storm Effects

The tropical storm's surge allowed contaminated water to enter several rooms of this structure in Fort Caroline. Our SERVPRO technicians moved out most of the furniture to quickly drain the water on the flooring and walls. We cut out the lower paneling of the drywall since it was saturated with possible pathogens and other contaminants. It was also too weak; it was crumbling, remaining in place. We bagged the damaged materials and discarded appropriately. Our equipment dried out the flooring, studs, and we then focused on sanitizing the affected areas of this home. We finished up some days later with the verification of dryness as we lightly sprayed a final deodorizer just to freshen up the rooms before the restoration could begin.
