Arlington Storm Water in a Crawl Space
The tropical storm that passed through Arlington dumped vast amounts of water. The crawl space Before Photo shows the residual effects of the stormwaters that were pumped out. Fortunately, this below house area was encapsulated with a six mil poly sheeting as a vapor barrier. This helped mitigate percolation of the water into the soil which would have exacerbated the dampness and moisture levels in this enclosed area. SERVPRO can use equipment to restore normal levels of moisture and also spray an antifungal agent to help stop mold growth from developing. Indoor air quality of the first floor is affected by the dampness below; we suggest to install a stationary dehumidifier.
